Animal-People Protect Us by Radiating Pure Love

Scientists have published in the journal Nature Climate Change that nine groups of animal-people capture an extraordinary amount of carbon dioxide. Protecting or restoring their combined populations could result in capturing an extra 6.41 billion tons of carbon dioxide each year. That is 95% of the amount needed annually to meet the Paris Agreement target of removing enough carbon from the atmosphere to keep global warming below the 1.5 degrees Celsius threshold.

The nine groups of high carbon-capture animal-people are the marine fish-, whale-, shark-, sea otter-, grey wolf-, wildebeest-, musk oxen-, African forest elephant-, and American bison-folk.
