The best way to help a friend turn vegan is to prepare a wonderful vegan meal! Here is a recipe for delicious vegan pancakes to help. Combine 300 grams of flour (2½ cups), 50 grams of sugar (¼ cup), 10 grams of baking powder (2 teaspoons), 10 grams of baking soda (2 teaspoons), and 1.2 grams of salt (¼ teaspoon) in a small bowl and whisk it all together. In a large bowl, combine 120 grams of applesauce (½ cup), 600 milliliters of oat milk (2¼ cups), 30 grams of sunflower oil (2 tablespoons), and 15 milliliters of vanilla extract (1 tablespoon).

Thoroughly mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients for a thick batter. Apply a thin coat of oil to a skillet and warm it over medium heat. Pour 60 milliliters of batter (1/4 cup) onto the skillet and let it cook until bubbles develop on the surface and the edges are dry, usually around two to three minutes. Then flip it over and cook the other side for an additional minute. If you are not going to eat it immediately, leave it on a baking sheet in a warm oven while you cook the remaining batter.

Top with fresh berries, bananas, maple syrup, or vegan whipped cream. Bon Appétit!
