On today’s show, Carol shares more about her activism journey and how she frequently introduces the plant-based lifestyle to others.

Ever since her youth, Ms. Royale has campaigned against the cruel practice of vivisection. In the UK alone, almost three million helpless, innocent animal-people are used and often killed every year in research experiments. In February 2022, Carol marched to the UK parliament buildings to deliver a petition. Signed by more than 100,000 people, the petition was asking the government to put an end to using animal-people for research. She explains that this practice is totally unnecessary, because many alternative methods are now available.

Climate change is one of the greatest threats facing our planet today. And mounting scientific evidence show that animal-people industrial raising operation is one of the most significant contributors to global warming. “And everybody worries about the cars and the planes and this and that and the other, but it is the meat that is one of the greatest contributors.”

Ms. Royale says that empathy and compassion are innate qualities in children. As a consequence, if left to their own natural instincts, children would not eat animal-people. Ms. Royle explains that education plays an essential role in changing our world. “I believe, there are things that are missing from syllabuses all over the world. We need to concentrate not only on academia, but on the mind and thereby on awakening an empathy and compassion, awareness, and mindfulness.”

“‘Don’t judge anybody until you walked a mile in his shoes.’ We need to be able to where you are enabled to put yourselves in other people’s positions, and not people’s only, but animals, because they’re also alive and sentient. The politics, the governments, the approach to everything would change, if we were able to put ourselves in other people’s shoes.”

Our most gracious Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan) frequently reminds us that the vegan lifestyle is the only way to halt climate change, protect animal-people and the environment, and save our planet. She encourages adults to be good role models for children by adopting a plant-based lifestyle.
