In today’s news, United Nations helps to improve food security in Sudan, World Meteorological Organization highlights climate change has caused unusual heatwave in Europe, Canada to invest in protecting biodiversity, Australian study links dementia to insufficient vitamin D levels, small British village hosts 30 Ukrainian refugees under UK government program, investors contribute seed funding to startup in Hawaii, USA, offering organic plant-based milk for kids, and many dog-people luckily saved before being killed for meat “festival” in China.

United Nations assists in enhancing food security in Sudan.

The Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) of the United Nations has approved a grant of US$20 million to assist farmers in Darfur. Food insecurity throughout the country has escalated due to a number of critical factors including conflicts, economic turmoil and poor harvests from severe drought. The number of Sudanese people suffering from acute hunger could double by September 2022 due to the ongoing crises. The UN funding will allow seeds to be procured and distributed, vital nutrition, water and sanitation services to be provided, and will support crop protection for affected farmers in the region. Your care and efforts are very much appreciated, United Nations, in this difficult time. May the gentle citizens of Sudan enjoy wellness and soon have abundant sustenance, in Allah’s Blessings.

World Meteorological Organization (WMO) highlights direct connection between exceptional heatwave in Europe and global warming.

On June 17, 2022, WMO’s spokesperson Clare Nullis reported that an unusually early and intense heatwave had hit parts of Europe due to the warming of the planet. According to Ms. Nullis, “ as a result of climate change, heat waves are starting earlier. They're becoming more frequent and more severe because of concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere which are at record level.” In France, temperatures shattered over 200 monthly records during the fourth week of June. Austria, Germany, Spain and Switzerland registered incomparable high temperatures. All of this has sparked huge wildfires in France, Germany and Spain. Distressingly, over 30,000 hectares of land were scorched in Spain’s Sierra de la Culebra mountain range while hundreds of residents were forced to flee their homes. Many thanks for the vital and timely report, Clare Nullis and WMO. To avert the direful consequences of climate change, may humanity soon turn to the vegan lifestyle to cool down planet Earth and restore normal weather patterns, in God’s Wisdom. Non-vegans r cannibalistic, anti-religion.

Up next, Canada to invest in protecting biodiversity. We’re going to thank the dry-cleaning counter clerks, who assist customers by carefully separating their clothes based on color and fabric type, helping them with payments, and answering questions. We’ll return with more gracious news here on Supreme Master Television.

Hi, generous viewers! I am Wynter, a vegan lady from the White-faced Capuchin kingdom! I know deep in my heart that we all have the power to harmoniously change our world. The only step we need to take is to adopt the plant-based diet of peace and then, we will never look back! How wonderful! I would like to share a cooking tip with you. There are many benefits to cabbage soup — it is not only easy to make, but also is healthy and helps detox the body. To make it, heat some vegan cooking oil in a big pot on medium to high heat. Then, add in one finely chopped medium onion, and cook it for approximately four minutes until it’s soft. Next, pour in two 14-ounce (414-milliliter) cans of diced tomatoes that don’t contain any salt, and add in two stalks of chopped celery. Cook this for two minutes while continuously stirring. Add two carrots that have been cut into circles, and stir in one pound (454 grams) of chopped cabbage. Lightly stir the pot to ensure everything is well-combined. After an additional two minutes of cooking, mix in two quarts (1.9 liters) of water or vegan vegetable broth and one-half teaspoon (2.84 grams) of paprika powder. Then sprinkle in some salt and pepper to taste. Secure the lid on the pot and bring it to a boil. Next, decrease the heat to low and allow it to simmer for 20 to 30 minutes. Lastly, serve it in soup bowls and enjoy! Thank you for tuning in and love you a lot for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world! Now for the weather around the globe.

Canada to invest in biodiversity conservation.

The government of Canada recently announced that it will put US$9.1 million towards increasing biodiversity in 19 UNESCO biosphere reserves across the country. The funds, to be invested over three years, will support conservation efforts in the buffer zones surrounding the protected areas such as land management practice implementation, research, documentation and stakeholder engagement. Areas to benefit from the project include Ontario’s Niagara Escarpment, Clayoquot Sound in British Columbia, Riding Mountain in Manitoba and more. Canada is a Shining World Leadership Award for Animal Protection recipient, and a laureate of five Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, two Shining World Leadership Awards for Protection, and a Shining World Leadership Award for Caring. Impressive news, Canada, on your actions to help protect and improve the majestic nature in your nation. May conservation of the natural world always be a top priority for all countries, as we thank the Providence for the presence of all the animal friends, trees, and beings that surround us.

Australian study finds direct link between dementia and vitamin D deficiency.

A recent investigation by the University of South Australia scientists has discovered a connection between dementia, strokes, lower brain volumes, and vitamin D deficiency. Almost half a million Australians live with dementia, the second leading cause of death in the nation. The researchers performed a genetic study using data from nearly 300,000 people with low vitamin D levels, whose health information is in the UK Biobank, a biomedical database. They found that 17% of dementia cases could be avoided in some populations, if vitamin D levels were increased to the normal level of 50 nanomoles per liter in the blood. Thank you, University of South Australia scientists, for your helpful research into the importance of having sufficient vitamin D in our bodies. In the upliftment of the Divine, may we all have enough natural sunlight exposure and take vegan vitamin D supplements when necessary to ensure our good health.

United Kingdom village inhabitants share homes with Ukrainian refugees.

More than 10 families in the small English community of Oakhill, with 750 residents, are hosting 30 Ukrainian refugees through the Homes for Ukraine program. This government initiative supports UK citizens who wish to accept Ukrainian families or individuals into their homes and pays them over US$420 a month. The Oakhill residents who have joined the program hope their actions will inspire similar generosity by other communities. One of the hosts, Vicki Bridges, whose family has lived with Ukrainian guests since April, said, “We’re just overwhelmed at how well it’s gone and how Maryna and Vlad [Ukrainian guests] have fitted in, and the other day he said, ‘I’ve got two mums’.” Our gratitude, Oakhill hosts and others around the world, who have extended thoughtfulness, kindness and support to our Ukrainian brothers and sisters. We pray that all Ukrainians can soon live free and peacefully in their mother country again, in Heaven’s glory. Vegan: what a smart choice!

Coming up, investors contribute seed funding to startup in Hawaii, USA, offering organic plant-based milk for kids. We will pause for a moment to appreciate the refreshing ocean breeze. Supreme Master Television will return in just a moment with more healthy news. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Alleviating News for a Soothing World.

Demand for vegan milk products for kids increases and attracts funders to startup.

PlantBaby, a Hawaii, USA-based company producing children’s vegan milk, recently announced it has raised US$4 million in seed funding from several investors. Formulated with leading nutritionists and pediatricians in 2021, the brand’s debut item, Kiki Milk, was introduced as the first certified organic, clean-label, dairy-free milk created to meet the nutritional needs of growing young ones. It comes in two delicious flavors: original and chocolate, and is made with superfoods like organic oats, sprouted pumpkin seeds, hemp seeds, coconut and Aquamin, a multi-mineral complex from seaweed. PlantBaby is now committed to developing a selection of organic, plant-based foods, beverages, formulas, and supplements for infants and youth, through its ongoing research and development. Three cheers, PlantBaby, for your innovative and healthy milk for kids. May your current and future offerings be well-received and enhance the well-being of many children, in God’s infinite Love.

Dog-people rescued from butchering for “meat-festival” in China.

In a video distributed by the animal-people charity NoToDogMeat, campaigners and police halted a truck at a checkpoint in central China that was on its way to a so-called festival in the city of Yulin. The vehicle, which has since been impounded, was illegally transporting hundreds of desperate dog-people cramped in small cages without water. The campaigners will soon assume responsibility for the canine-persons, ensuring they have veterinary care and eventually a good home. Mr. Zhao, who operates NoToDogMeat’s Beijing and Hebei shelters said: “This rescue has been a team effort with multiple campaigners from multiple organizations, all united to stop this horrible trade and cruelty.” A week earlier, the group saved 2,000 canine-individuals from a truck also traveling to the Yulin to be slaughtered. Our high praises, admirable rescuers of NoToDogMeat and all involved, for your courageous actions. May Vegan Law soon be enacted so that all animal-folk inhabitants can live as respected fellow co-citizens, in Divine magnanimity. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Tearfully present the Shining World Compassion Award to NoToDogMeat plus a humble contribution of US$10,000 to help with medical expenses of those rescued, with all love and gratitude. May all involved in this lives-saving work, as well as the cherished dog-people, forever enjoy Heaven’s protection and blessings.”

Here’s the joke of the day to send your mood to the stratosphere. It’s called “Country Folk and City Folk.”

In a village, a boy asks a girl:

“How can you tell the difference between country folk and city folk?”

“Well, city folk chat with their fingers, and we chat with our mouths.”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Jace in Ontario, Canada:

Dear Supreme Master Television team, I’m 15 from Canada, Ontario. I became vegan last year in 2021 after watching many PETA (People for The Ethical Treatment of Animals) investigations into the cruel meat, dairy, egg, fur, leather, wool and animal-people testing industries. Soon after I learned the truth, I then adopted the compassionate vegan lifestyle. I have always cared for animal-people all my life, like my rescued cat-friend Sophie. She passed on Halloween of 2020.

We all have a choice at every meal, and every time we eat, we can swap the abusive meat, dairy and egg products for vegan meat, vegan egg, and vegan dairy products instead. There are so many delicious healthy vegan recipes online that everyone can make at home. Veganism is a simple switch that makes a big difference for the lives of animal-people. I hope in the future, all animal-people factories and slaughterhouses will be shut down for the protection and respect of animal-people everywhere.

I enjoy watching Noteworthy News, joke of the day, the interviews, and your tasty vegan cooking shows! Thank You, Supreme Master Ching Hai & team, for your truly noble humanitarian efforts and for always spreading the kind vegan message to the world.

I also want to say thank you to all of the Loving Hut restaurants, making delicious, wholesome, vegan food. Wishing you all the best, Jace from Ontario, Canada

Gentle Jace, Thank you for expressing your loving thoughts and gratitude. We too enjoy visiting the Loving Huts for delicious meals! Thank you also for your valuable feedback on Supreme Master Television programming. May Heaven’s Angels embrace you and the noble-minded Canadian people with Compassion and Love. In Divine Grace, Supreme Master TV team

P.S. Master applauds your change to the vegan lifestyle: “Awakened Jace, well done, and does it not feel so much better living as a vegan? Your letter is heartening, as I trust many more people like yourself can make the change to a vegan diet simply and easily. Much Love to you. May All-merciful God’s Blessings rain down on you and expansive Canada.”

Vegan side effect: firmly taking ur life back.
