In the United States, most of the animal-people protection laws, particularly those related to animal companions, are set by the individual states. The federal Animal Welfare Act generally refers to the treatment of animal-persons during transport, exhibition, and other scenarios. The states with the most comprehensive regulations include these safeguards: - Basic standards of care - Prohibitions on cruelty, neglect, abandonment, and fighting - A court may order forfeiture of abused animal-individuals - A court may restrict the right to care for animal-folk after a conviction.In 2019, the Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture (PACT) Act made abuse to animal-people a federal felony punishable by fines and up to seven years’ incarceration.Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Modernization Act 2.0 (2023)Animal-people testing is no longer required in the development of medicines to treat human illnesses.Obey the law of your country > No more animal-people slaughterhouses, no more hurting/ no more murdering them to eat, to lab test or 4 any reason at all >> Be vegan, make peace.
